Summer 2012, London Olympics, Irish House, Irish Music, Planning For 2013, "15" .
Well that's the summer that was summer 2012 and a memorable one it was, London Olympics 2012 was a wonderful occasion with some great Irish music and craic at Irish House 2012 where Ole, Ole, Ole 2012 Remix received many an airing including when Katie Taylor won gold.
"The Closing Ceremonies celebrated the achievements of the athletes at the London 2012 Olympics and London 2012 Paralympic Games, and included a Handover to Rio 2016 and the extinguishing of the Olympic Flame and Paralympic Flame, signalling the end of the Games."
As we leave behind a wonderful summer of sport, music and craic our attention now turns to planning to celebrate 15 years of Dance To Tipperary throughout 2013 which will include the release of a special edition album simply called "15" which will include 15 of our favourite tracks recorded during the 15 years and a special booklet with pictures and stories since it all began back in 1998 when three of us left The Winning Post pub and headed to Y-Tribes' studio in Deptford with an accordion, a fiddle and an idea for a new twist on and style of Irish music.
Early details will be announced during November 2012 and details of the next Dance To Tipperary DJ SET "Tipp' DJ" single will also be announced.
