Dance To Tipperary are launching an official app in March that will keep fans up to date and offer exclusive content including videos, releases, competitions and TEN FREE streaming tracks including tracks from the upcoming CELTIC CLUB ANTHEMS - The Irish Sessions - Dance To Tipperary DJ SET album.

The new app will launch early March 2012 on both The Android Market and iTunes Store and will cost just $0.99 including the TEN FREE streaming tracks!

The app will also include photos, videos, social network connections, a new blog called "#TippDJ", tour dates and more.

Dance To Tipperary DJ SET heads to the USA in March including a special appearance at ShamrockFest 2012, RFK Stadium, Washington D.C. on March 24th.

Firstly wishing you all a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

Well 2012 is here and what a year ahead, Euro 2012, a new Ole OLE OLE, (3OLE 3OLE 3OLE) the London Olympic Games, IRC In Ireland at Easter and The Volvo Ocean Race finishing in Galway with almost as many as saw the Pope one time expected. So it is going to be some year of parties including the party that is Dance To Tipperary DJ SET on tour.

Now some updates on Dance To Tipperary plans for 2012.

Current album Return To Me will continue to be promoted to radio and online throughout 2012 with the video for I'm Sorry (USA Radio Edit) debuting on Vevo at 7PM ET on Januray 9th. I'm Sorry (USA Radio Edit) is released on February 24th. Three more singles will be released from the album during 2012 including What Kind Of World written by multiple Grammy Award winning writer Diane Warren.

The Rakes Of Mallow is a traditional Irish song and reel. It is about the rakes from the town of Mallow in Co. Cork. It was first written down during the 1780s.

The Rakes Of Mallow is used by Notre Dame fans who also have a Blog called The Rakes Of Mallow.

It also featured in the film "The Quiet Man" and the tune plays during a montage sequence in the film "Rudy"

"When selecting tracks for our second album we thought that The Rakes Of Mallow would be great for live shows if started slowly and speeded up as it went along so decided to include on the album. Beats were programmed and the traditional tune played live with them and after various speeds were recorded we had The Rakes Of Mallow, Dance To Tipperary style."

The Rakes Of Mallow became the first single from Dance To Tipperary's second studio album and was released on October 25th 2001 (10 years ago this week)

The Rakes Of Mallow entered The Irish Top 30 and Dance Charts the following week just as the second album email@thecliffsofmoher was available in stores.

There was a carnival athmosphere at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin last night as Ireland quailfied for their first major international champoinship in 10 years.

So all thoughts and hopes now turn to Ireland, the FAI and Euro2012 as plans are made for summer 2012 in Poland/ Eukraine and the Euro 2012 finals.

Ireland qualifying has created great excitement amongst Ireland's fans as we all look forward to a summer of Ole, Ole, Ole, and the green colours in Europe.

Dubstep has seen a massive massive increase in popularity across the USA recently. What does that mean for Dance To Tipperary ? you may ask.

Well the very roots of Dance To Tipperary in the late 90's early millenium in London are with Y-Tribe early pioneers on the scene.

Y-Tribe produced and programmed the first two Dance To Tipperary studio albums with the groups producer/DJ Donald Leahy. When The Irish Rover stormed the Irish charts for the new millenium St.Patrick's Day celebrations, tucked away on the Irish Rover single release was a Y-Tribe Dubstep Club Mix.

In a digital world this track has made it's way onto the huge burgeoning Dubstep revival scene in the USA and the vinyl version is a much sought after rarity during the past few weeks.

Every CD single on Amazon and online stores has been fervently gobbled up by the new Dubstep community led by fast turning into superstars, DJ's like Skrillex, Smog Crew ,Bassnectar and Eos a 15 year old whizz mixer from LA.

The "Go Green on November 15" is causing excitement amongst Irish soccer fans with fans encouraged to show their support for the team by wearing green for the day of their crucial playoff match against Estonia at Aviva Stadium Dublin on November 15th.

According to the website You Boys In Green, YBIG.ie the campaign has gone from strength. The FAI are supporting and team sponsor 3 Mobile have come on board to provide 50,000 green cards which will be used as a colour display inside Lansdowne Road's Aviva Stadium on Tuesday next.

The first leg of the playoff against Estonia takes place tonight November 11th at the A.le Coq Arena in Tallin with a place at the 2012 European Championships up for grabs. The return and crucial second leg takes place at the Aviva Stadium Dublin on Tuesday next November 15th.

Republic Of Ireland team manager Giovanni Trapattoni was recently out promoting the big match encouragaing fans to Go Green!

The last major champions the Republic Of Ireland team qualified for was The Football World Cup in 2002.

When Ireland qualified for the Football World Cup Finals that year Dance To Tipperary's Ole Ole Ole (We're Up For The Cup) became the sound track of the summer in Ireland and beyond as Irish fans everywhere celebrated and enjoyed the games.

A night of celebration on Friday last in Tallin as Ireland scored a win to savour in the first leg of the Euro 2012 qualifying playoff against Estonia.

A win by four goals exceeded all expectations as Ireland took what will hopefully prove to be a decisive step towards the EUFA 2012 Championship finals in Poland/Ukraine next Summer.

So the scene is set for a historic day at the Aviva Stadium, Lansdowne Road, Dublin on November 15th when Ireland have a great opportunity to bridge the ten year gap since they qualified for a major tournament.

The Go Green On November 15th will ensure a green day and night as fans around the globe wear green to show their support for their team and hopefully a party and some Ole Ole Ole's!!!

Dance To Tipperary are having their own green party to support the team and Go Green on November 15th in the pub where the Ole Ole Ole video was filmed almost ten years ago as everyone hopes and looks forward to a Go Green trip to the Euro 2012 finals and a new Ole Ole Ole celebration ten years on.

Irish Crew Daniel Barry and Martin Brady return to the IRC series to complete their 2010 campaign in the Scottish Highlands. The pairing have tackled a programme of selected rounds of this years IRC championship in their Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9 but this will be their first foray onto gravel in the series. However loose surfaces are not unfamiliar to them as Daniel was the 2009 UK National series Group N Champion and the one make Mitsubishi series champion in 2009 and Junior champion of the hotly contested Evo Challenge in 2008. Meanwhile Martin too has had success as Evo Challenge UK champion in 2008 and 2009 while also partnering 2008 Irish Forestry champion Ray Breen to the Irish title.

With such experience under their belt they are cautiously optimistic of a solid result in Scotland but given the tough nature of the stages and the long trail of leg two with only one short remote service between 45km loops it is certain that a steady and controlled drive is the way to approach this rally. Martin commented “I experienced this rally last year with Icelandic rally driver Daniel Siggurdarson and it is an excellent rally and superbly organised but the stages are ultra challenging. Long arduous with changing grip and plenty to catch you out so I know we need to approach with caution, but rallying by its very nature means you nearly always throw caution to the wind! But I know for certain it will be enjoyable both competing in Scotland and back on the IRC campaign”

Daniel and Martin will use the exciting new DMACK tyres and will be giving them their debut in IRC competition and on a 4wd Group N car. Daniel commented “I’m looking forward to using the new DMG2 tyres they are a new product but they have an impressive catalogue of serious testing and development to date so I am confident in how well they will perform on the tricky Scottish stages.

News: REMEMBERING 9/11 (10 Years on) TRIBUTE and DEDICATION.

On a day of rememberance of 9/11 and the tragic events of that day in New York and USA I think back to our day on 9/11/01 and tell a story we have NEVER told before.

9/11 2001 began as we headed to a studio in London called The Church where we had been for the previous two weeks recording tracks for our second album email@thecliffsofmoher

In January 2001 some members of The Fisher Family, Emma, Mark and Bertie Fisher, friends of ours lost their lives in a helicopter accident. We had decided to include a tribute song to them on the new album due for release November that year and we wrote a song called "Great Moments With You" during summer 2001.

At the time our lead singer Danielle was due to fly to USA on September 12th so 9/11/2001 was the last day of recording lead vocals. As it was a tribute song to our friends we had kept Great Moments With You until the end of the recording session.

So we arrived at studio early for final days recording. Meanwhile Dara and members of his band were flying from Dublin to join us to record the string arrangement which Dara had kindly done for the track.

As we settled into studio and with Danielle well into vocal takes for Great Moments With You the terrible events of the day beagn to unfold on the TV in the studio lounge.

We completed the vocal take we were doing and sat and watched in horror at what was happening in New York. Having previously lived in Battersea Park City, NY and memories of a few good pints in the bar by The Path to Jersey in the World Trade Centre what I was watching really horrified.

So on this day 09/11/11 ten years on we dediacte the song "Great Moments With You" which we were unbelivably recording on 09/11/2001 to all the victims and those injured, their families and friends, the emergency services, to all who helped and to all those affected by the tragic and terrible events of 9/11 2001. You are all in our thoughts and prayers today and many days.

As the chorus of the song says "Gone so fast, the memories will last, I'll never forget all those great moments, those great moments with you.

Originally released in 2003 on Dance To Tipperary's third studio album Life Goes On "Tonight Is What It Means To Be Young" has become the bands best selling download worldwide.

"Tonight Is What It Means To Be Young" was first performed by Fire Inc. in 1984 for the rock film Streets Of Fire. Cover versions of the song have also been recorded by Japanese singer Megumi Shiina and for the musical Tanz der Vampire/Dance of the Vampires. The song was written by Jim Steinman.

"I always thought the original was musically amazing and would be a great challenge to try record as it had incredible vocals and backing vocals, so when recording our third album it seemed a great track to try have on it. Some thought we were crazy to even attempt it but I am so glad we achieved it" answers producer Donald Leahy when asked why Dance To Tipperary recorded the song.

Chilli Gold on joining DANCE TO TIPPERARY as new lead singer

It’s funny how things work out…

There were 2 things that caught my eye on the advert..

The first were the words ‘Irish connection’.

The second ‘Faith Hill’..

So Dance To Tipperary were looking for a new singer.

There was a new album and a new look with a successful decade already under their belts.

This certainly sounded like something I would love to be part of. This sounded like a challenge. I had been singing and writing in a contemporary country style for a while but was keen to get my teeth into something a bit more gutsy.

I emailed Donald Leahy, the founder of Tipp and we exchanged quite a few emails. I think at this stage Donald had been looking for a while and hadn’t found anyone suitable. He was looking for commitment and a desire to really push things forward with Tipp, so…

I directed Donald to my show reel on You Tube. He wrote back saying he thought it could work but what about the Irish connection?

This part was easy…my family are from Waterford. That kind of sealed the deal.

Donald emailed me some of the material that had been written for the album and it quite literally gave me Shivers!

The title track ‘Return To Me’ is a huge ballad which Donald had been writing with Taryn Murphy in Nashville and Chris Landon in LA. The first time I heard it I knew it was something really special. These songs don’t come around very often. So these great tracks just kept coming and I especially loved the feel of the Dianne Warren-penned track. ‘What kind Of World Would This World Be’ an honour to sing a song by such an incredible songwriter.

’Never let It Go’ is my stand out favourite and the one I am most looking forward to performing live. Believe me this song is going to rock. The next single ‘I’m Sorry’ has a great feel, it’s catchy and really radio friendly.

Ok, so I could keep going on about how good these songs are but I will leave you to judge…

All the vocals were recorded at the StrongRoom in London and it was a really great atmosphere as people started to realise how strong the material was on this record.

So now I am really in this thing for the long haul. I feel proud to be fronting such an exceptionally talented bunch of people.

The funny thing is you just never know what the future holds…

But I’m pretty certain I’ve got this one covered for now.
